Tuesday, 27 October 2026. We bring together the relevant facts of the last 24 hours, each checked against a primary or reliable source: ETF flows, a new federally chartered trust bank, an equity index brought onchain, the effect of MiCA on stablecoins and a security incident at a hardware wallet maker.
Markets: bitcoin near 80,500 dollars, ETFs back in positive territory
According to CoinGecko, checked today at 18:00 Zurich time, bitcoin trades at around 80,535 US dollars, about 66,740 Swiss francs, up 0.4% over 24 hours; ether is around 2,347 dollars (+1.1%). The Federal Open Market Committee began its two-day meeting today, with a decision expected tomorrow.
According to Farside Investors, US spot bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows of 110.3 million dollars on Monday, 26 October, after net outflows of 635.6 million on 22 October and 137.9 million on 23 October. The chart shows how the last two weeks have swung between days of opposite sign.

Ripple: final approval for its national trust bank
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the federal regulator of US national banks, granted final approval to Ripple National Trust Bank on 26 October, following conditional approval in December 2025. The bank may manage the segregated reserves of the RLUSD stablecoin, act as collateral trustee of those reserves for the benefit of holders and provide fiduciary digital asset custody. RLUSD will still be issued by Standard Custody & Trust Company, regulated by the New York Department of Financial Services, so federal supervision now sits alongside state oversight. RLUSD, launched in December 2024, has a market capitalisation of about 2.5 billion dollars.
Tokenisation: the Nasdaq-100 comes to Stellar
Janus Henderson, an asset manager with roughly 500 billion dollars under management, and Centrifuge have launched JQQQ, a blockchain-native fund that seeks to track the Nasdaq-100 under licence from Nasdaq. The fund is issued exclusively on the Stellar network and is issuer-sponsored, so it is not a third-party token mirroring existing securities. It is available only to eligible investors and not to US persons. With JQQQ, Janus Henderson's onchain platform exceeds one billion dollars.
Stablecoins: under MiCA, USDC overtakes USDT against the euro
According to a Kaiko report covered by Cointelegraph, USDC now accounts for 56% of stablecoin trading against the euro, up from 10% in January 2024. The shift accelerated after major exchanges restricted USDT for customers in the European Economic Area under the MiCA regulation. Euro order book liquidity is also about 40% deeper for USDC. Globally, however, USDT remains the larger stablecoin, with a circulating supply about 2.5 times that of USDC.
Security: Keystone destroys 18,835 hardware wallets
Hardware wallet maker Keystone said an attacker entered its website on 20 October through a flaw in a third-party monitoring tool. The attacker obtained records of 25,964 buyers (names, contact details and shipping addresses) and a key used to certify device authenticity, which could let counterfeit units pass as genuine. Keystone will destroy 18,835 unsold units and has suspended shipments until devices with a new key are produced. Recovery phrases and private keys were not exposed. Devices delivered before 20 October are still considered trustworthy; for those received afterwards, the company asks customers to contact support.
